Yeah - how a solution is executed is almost entirely up to the engineers (and other functions, data scientists and designers), and the PM is there to clarify the requirements and provide guidance when needed. The PM will have insights into the long-term vision of the feature that can inform the other functions to create the best technical or UX design.
